£37k asset finance facility secured for a returning customer

The Challenge

A returning customer operating in the construction sector required funding for an additional commercial vehicle to support several new contracts that were just entering their early stages. As a young business established in 2022, they had already been declined by multiple lenders due to limited trading history.

Their main priority was to minimise upfront costs to protect cashflow, while securing the right vehicle quickly to meet operational demand.

The Solution

The customer initially requested a Ford Ranger Raptor, but after discussing their objectives, Jamie Jones, Business Development Manager, advised switching to a Ford Ranger Wildtrak due to the significant tax benefits, something the customer was unaware of.

Using our vehicle-sourcing partners, we were able to secure the Ford Ranger at approximately £2,000 under the list price, and the entire process, from first discussion to delivery was completed in under three weeks.

The Result

We secured an approval for a 5-year finance lease with a facility size of £36,850, requiring only a 5% deposit. This structure allowed the VAT to be spread across the term, supporting the customer’s cash position.

With the newly funded vehicle in place, the construction business can now deploy an additional team to a new location, accelerating growth, strengthening operational capacity, and enabling them to fulfil and win additional contracts.
