The Challenge
A Road Haulage Association member and one of the UK’s leading companies within the transport and warehousing sector were using old and unreliable electric pallet trucks within their tail lift operations, causing operational inefficiencies for their Pallet Network Deliveries.
The customer had an urgent requirement for the electric pallet trucks which were being delivered to 12 of their 14 nationwide depositions. Additionally, the suppliers stocking levels was a critical requirement, due to the short time frame.
The Solution
Impact Handling introduced the customer that was enquiring about funding options to PMD. Due to one of PMD’s Business Development Manager’s extensive knowledge of the customers available options, finance structures and funders appetites an approval was secured for the £59,500.00 + VAT of lending.
The 70 pallet trucks were placed on a 2-year finance lease agreement with a stage payment profile to accommodate the customer’s immediate requirements in addition to the supplier’s stocking availability.
With speed and effectiveness securing an approval with the most desirable lender, PMD were able to secure an approval and process the application to enable the supplier to book the first delivery in within a working week of the initial contact with the customer.
The Results
As a result of the facilities put into place by PMD Business Finance, the customer was able to increase the efficiency of their working conditions, replacing older trucks with new and more reliable equipment.
